The confidentiality of those who share information regarding the emerging issue related to the ‘Gedhoruveriyaa’ and ‘Binveriyaa’ scheme will be maintained.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Saturday urged to share any information that could be useful in the investigation of the housing scheme-related case currently being investigated by the institution, or any document that could be used as evidence, throughhttps://evidence.police.gov.mv.

The police institution revealed that information and evidence can be submitted without revealing personal information, and that it can be shared with contact information attached if the investigators need to contact for more clarification.

MPS has assured that confidentiality of informants who provide details through the portal will be maintained.

RaajjeMV understands that the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has forged land registration documents in the name of the former Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure since the incumbent administration took over.

With the exposure of the issue of illegally allocating plots to ineligible people under the ‘Binveriyaa’ scheme for plots of land in Hulhumalé, many instances of theft, betrayal, and fraud occurring within HDC have been coming to light.
