Police visits home of ex-MP Abdulla Jabir searching for him

Jabir was recently appointed a personal advisor to former President Mohamed Nasheed

Officers of the Maldives Police Service (MPS) has visited former MP Abdulla Jabir's home in search of him. 

Jabir's family said that the officers had left after they were informed that Jabir was not at at the residence at the time. 

His wife Dhiyana Saeed, who was the SAARC's first female Secretary-Genery, questioned the purpose of the search, through a tweet on Thursday. 

Jabir, also a prominent businessman, was recently appointed a personal advisor to opposition leader and former President Mohamed Nasheed. 

He had also sent a letter to pro-government MP Yameen Rasheed, asking for repayment of a loan for MVR 2 million.
