Former Auditor General Niyaz Ibrahim has criticized the Yameen administration stating that one cannot trust a traitor and a brutal dictator “to deliver a brighter future”.
In a tweet posted on Saturday, Niyaz said that “Maldivians need to learn from the past experiences”.

Niyaz has been extremely critical of the Government, especially vocal regarding the corruption of the Government.

Niyaz was dismissed from his position, following a hastened amendment to the Audit Act. This came after he had shared his concerns over the rising corruption within the Government, with the President.
