Nazidh Abdulla, who died in a fire at Fiyoari island’s powerhouse on Friday, has been buried.
The 26-year-old was buried aftrer Isha prayers on Friday night.
Ahmed Shareef, the Managing Director of Fenaka -the state-owned utilities enterprise that ran the powerhouse – said that Abdulla’s family has been provided with fair compensation and that it has agreed to provide employment for any individual of the family’s choosing.
Abdulla was the youngest member of his family.
The fire, which reportedly broke out when the island was engaged in afternoon prayers on Friday, was quelled shortly after it was discovered. It had completely razed the powerhouse.
