Motion against Maseeh
President Yameen's influence in parliament is dwindling: MP Ali Hussein
There are only about thirteen parliamentarians are truly loyal to President Abdulla Yameen, said MP Hussein Ali
Hussein expressly said that President Yameen’s government is ‘now at an end’
The motion against Maseeh will be filed again in June with 42 signatures, Hussein said

There are only about thirteen parliamentarians who are truly loyal to President Abdulla Yameen, said MP Hussein Ali.

Hussain spoke about the opposition’s no-confidence motion against parliament speaker Abdulla Maseeh at Raajje Television’s Fala-Surukhee program on Sunday night, and said that most MPs aligned with the Maldives Development Alliance (MDA), the government’s coalition partner, have also expressed support for the motion.

Hussein expressly said that President Yameen’s government is ‘now at an end’ and that his chances in the 2018 presidential elections are slim.

He further said they would refile the motion against Maseeh in June, and that it would have garnered more than 42 signatures, the required amount as per an amendment last week.
