The Police on Sunday searched Maafannu Villa, Villa House and Villa Building. The search began at around 1400hrs.

The order, signed by Criminal Court Judge Abdul Baaree Yoosuf, said that Qasim Ibrahim is under suspicion for trying to sway a vote in Parliament, offering bribes to the Parliamentarians and attempting to overthrow a legally elected Government, as well as encouraging dissent within the Armed Forces and spread discord within the society. The order said that Police had the authority to remove everything that was connected to the case.
