Health Minister Abdulla Nazim has on Friday inaugrated use of a three-storey building, added to Alif Dhaal atoll’s health center.
Minister Nazim said at the ribbon-cutting ceremony that the government has prioritized developing and expanding services at local hospitals. He noted recent developments to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, stressing that this was a feat no other government has accomplished thus far.
Nazim had also expressed his confidence that the new premises, which has the capacity to hold 19 in-patients at the same time, would also greatly bolster the health center’s services.
The foundations for the building were lain in 2008.
