Customer hits expat worker after having to wait 'too long for his food'
The customer had argued with the cashier as well
He hit the expat worker with the plate he had served the food in
He was with his family at the time

A Maldivian customer has hit an expatriate worker at the Buruzu Café at Velana International Airport, after having to wait too long for his food.

Eyewitnesses told RaajjeMV that a customer had made a scene after having to wait too long for his order- an omelet- even arguing with the cashier.

The eyewitness said that ‘when the waiter arrived with the food, the customer had hit him with the plate, cutting open an inch above his left eye'.

RaajjeMV understands that the customer was with his parents, wife and child, and that he had fled as soon as the matter was reported to the police.

It is unclear whether the individual was arrested by the police, but RaajjeMV understands that the issue had prevented his family from flying that day.
