Raajje Television has extended the deadline for submission for its short-film contest.
The new deadline is Saturday, April 15.
RaajjeTV’s Head of Production, Amir Saleem said that the deadline has been extended “after various requests to do so”, adding that those who have already send in their submissions “can resend as well”.
While there are no set themes for the short-film festival, the films must be in between three to 10 minutes in length.
While there are various prizes for winners, a judging panel is to pick the Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editor, Best Sound and Best Screenplay. In addition, viewer’s choice will also be chosen, via SMS.
The film to place first will win MVR 50,000.
Interested participants can pick up the submission forms from RaajjeTV main office in Malé City, and are to send in their submissions via CD.
“The short-films will be aired during RaajjeTV’s Film Festival,” said Amir.
