A pregnant woman has died from H1N1.

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has confirmed the death, stating that the deceased was a 29-year old woman. This is the fifth confirmed death from H1N1. HPA statistics confirms that a 79-year old man had also died from the strain on Friday.

The woman had died while receiving treatment in IGMH ICU. The ICU is currently treating eight patients for the infection. Thirty-one patients are currently receiving treatment for H1N1.

Statistics show that 501 had tested, with 185 positive cases.

In spite of the increasing number of infections and deaths and the threat level still at level three, the schools have opened up.
