Dhiggaru Constituency MP Ahmed Faris Maumoon has stated that the threats and intimidation to businesses will end in five days.
Speaking in the press conference held by MDP, PPM, JP and AP, MP Faris said the atmosphere on intimidation on businesses will end in five days and after that businesses will be able to function.
“Afterwards, they will be able to function independently, will be able to invest with their own talent, within the legal limits,” MP Faris said.
Faris added that he will seek to eliminate political influence on businesses and trade.
Referring to the no confidence motion on Parliament Speaker Abdullah Maseeh, MP Faris had called on businesses to lend support to the MPs.
“Please support the MPs in these days, these few days. Some amongst us face tremendous pressure, threats, the same goes for businesses,” he said.
MP Faris said he will seek to recover all the losses incurred due to illegal moves by the Parliament once a proper functional environment is established in the Parliament.
