Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched a manhunt for two individuals accused of theft.

The police institution publicized a CCTV footage on Sunday, showing a masked man dressed in a white t-shirt and black jeans, putting on a face mask before sneaking into a house in Maafannu-ward in the capital Malé City.. A second man is shown stealing a gas cylinder from presumably the same house. The man is seen wearing a long-sleeved grey t-shirt, blue jeans and a black backpack.

The case of theft is being probed by the Maafannu Police desk.

MPS revealed that their efforts to identify and locate the men, have been to no avail so far, with which they have sought public help.

As such, the police institution has urged the public to reach out and contact the Maafannu Police desk through 9660183 if any information regarding the wanted individual, is attained.

MPS took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public for the support and assistance extended in such cases.
