The state-operated Hajj Corporation has opened opportunity for those that wish to go to Umrah pilgrimage next year through the agency.

Those that wish to do so must register and make payments before December 21st, which is MVR 5,000 for registration.

The 15-day Umrah pilgrimage, to which Maldivian pilgrims will embark, costs MVR 21,965 (USD 1,426).

The Hajj Corporation stated that those travelling with their families or in groups larger than four will receive a discount of MVR 1,000 per head. A group of 10 receives a discount of 50 percent.

The Hajj Corporation also has a special ‘VIP’ package, which costs MVR 41,965 per head.
