Former President Mohamed Nasheed has met Mark Field, MP for the Cities of London and Westminster and Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific.
In a tweet posted following the meeting, President Nasheed said the Parliamentarian had been briefed on political situation and need for inclusive, free and fair elections in 2018.

The former President has been having regular meetings with heads and senior officials of foreign nations while in UK, where he was granted asylum.
The meeting comes at a time when opposition parties are deliberating on the possibility of bringing out a single candidate for 2018 Presidential elections.
