Arrests have been made over Tuesday night's gang violence in the capital Malé City, confirms Maldives Police Service (MPS).
The arrests were made later in the night, after a raid at Seenu-Asurumaage in the Maafannu ward of the city.
While police did not reveal the number of people arrested over the violence, or the number arrested, RaajjeMV understands that at least six suspects were taken into custody.
Two individuals, a 20-year-old and 21-year-old, were stabbed on Fareedhee Magu on Tuesday evening, and were rushed to Indhira Gandhi Memorail Hospital (IGMH) for treatment immediately.
According to reports, the 20-year-old is in serious condition, and had to undergo emergency surgery.
