Speaking in Kudahuvadhoo island in Dhaal Atoll in the opening ceremony of the airport in the island, he said the power to push development agenda engineered by this administration rested with the public. As such, he said the citizens had a key role in determining if they will seek to push forward or hinder the development agenda.

He added that he had the same appeal to his rivals. Even if his rivals refuse to cooperate, President Yameen said he will ensure this administration will seek to fulfill their development agenda.

President Yameen reiterated his call that this administration was driven purely to bring in long term international investors. To facilitate this, he said this administration had created the required legal framework.
