MP Ahmed Mahloof has called on Vice President Vincent Meriton, of the Republic of Seychelles.
Mahloof said in a post following the meeting that they had discussed areas of cooperation between the Maldives and Seychelles.
The parliamentarian said he had also provided Vice President Meriton with information on recent developments of the political situation in the Maldives.

Mahloof and wife, Nazra Naseem, visited Seychelles after having stayed in Sri Lanka.
While Mahloof was in Sri Lanka, the state had made the decision to suspend his passport when he returns to Maldives, for a period of three months.
Mahloof described this as an attempt to intimidate him.
