Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) has revoked suspension for eight lawyers out of the lawyers who had attempted to file a petition at Supreme Court.
A statement released by DJA on Wednesday said that suspension was revoked as the body had finished reviewing the case against them. The eight lawyers, it said, can being practicing law from the 25th of this month.
Fifty-four lawyers were suspended on 10th September for attempting to submit a petition to Supreme Court. The petition had called to rectify the issues in the judiciary.
With this, the number of lawyers under suspension had dropped to 19.
