Authorities refuse to comment on special investigation into torching of PG Bisham's car
The Maldives Police Service said that the state's special task force has been investigating the arsonist attack

Prosecutor General Aishath Bisham had reportedly been in the car hours before it was torched

Police have said that they can’t unveil any information on their ongoing investigation into the arsonist attack on Prosecutor General Aishath Bisham’s car, provided by the state.

The Maldives Police Service said that the state's special task force, brought together especially to investigate the torching of a car registered to the government in a broad street with many homes, has been investigating the attack exhaustively but that a comment can't be provided at this time. 

The car was set ablaze on the early hours of October 9th while it was parked on Janavaree Magu in Henveiru ward of Malé City.

The police released a statement that utterly condemned the attack, describing it as a move against the entirety of the criminal justice system.

The statement was also released to announce that the state had assembled a special task force to investigate the attack.

police said it was an act of arsonist and also they have said they are unsure if it was an act of arsonist because they are currently investigating the matter . say something which makes sense to people.
