Raajje Television has filed a case seeking MVR 11.65 million from the state.

The stations management confirmed that the case had been filed and accepted by the Civil Court on Monday.

Raajje Television filed the case against the state over its failure to provide safety to the station.

"While authorities have failed to provide justice in the matter, the President’s Office has also yet to respond to this station’s written call for a speedy investigation and any aid" a statement from the station said. 

The statement revealed that the damages the station had sustained was in excess of MVR 11.5 million.
