Power has once again failed in the island of Bileyfahi in Shaviyani Atoll, mere weeks after the major fire in the power house, which caused an island wide blackout.
The island Council’s President Abdullah Ziyad said the island had been without power since sunset on Wednesday. He said only one engine was used in the island after the fire.
Three engines used to power the island had burned down in the fire of September 23rd. After the fire the island of 700 people had to rely on one engine brought in as a temporary solution.
