Businessman Hamid Ismail, indicted on the massive graft of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), has been brought to capital Male’ for medical treatment.
Speaking to RaajjeMV Corrections media official reported that Hamid was brought to Male’ for a consultation with a dentist at ADK Hospital.
Hamid was jailed on June 23rd last year, having been proven guilty of graft of US$ 5 million from MMPRC. He was jailed for two years, nine months and 18 days, which will be completed in 2019.
Hamid is a close associate of former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb.
