MNDF rescues boat that collided into a reef while carrying 15 passengers
The vessel, named ‘Flower’, collided into the western part of Bandos Island Resort
The incident was reported to the Maldives National Defence Force at around 22:50 on Monday night

A vessel en route to the capital city from Kendhoo island of Baa Atoll has collided into a reef.

The vessel, named ‘Flower’, collided into the western part of Bandos Island Resort at around 22:50 on Tuesday night.

The Maldives National Defence Force reported that it dispatched a speed boat along with rescue divers as soon as the incident was reported to them.

There were 15 passengers on board the vessel at the time, including a woman and her child. Eight of these passengers were escorted by Bandos Island Resort’s staff to the island.
