The Saudi Arabian government has given Maldives permission to carry an additional 1,000 pilgrims to Hajj this year, doubling the nation’s quota.

While the existing quota of 1,000 pilgrims has been assigned to four hajj and umrah agencies, the Islamic Ministry has yet to announce the distribution of this quota.

The ministry has authorized the following agencies:

  • The Maldives Hajj Corporation
  • Al-Haramain Hajj and Umra Group
  • Sisilfaru Hajj and Umra Group
  • Zaee Hajj Group
