Arrests have been made in connection with an arson attack in the congested capital, Malé City.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Thursday revealed that two men have been arrested under allegations of setting fire to a parked car.

A car parked in the Sinamalé-01 parking zone on Buruzu Magu was torched at around 06:25 p.m. on November 25. Arrested in connection with the case were Khalid Mahmood, 35, and Hassan Naseem, 31, natives of Maamigili island of Alif Dhaal atoll.

The arrests were made under a court order.

Further investigations are currently underway in connection with the case.
