Those that wish to aquire the premises given to them by the state for accommodation can make payments to the Housing Ministry’s financial committee, the ministry has decided.
Amendments brought to the procedures on acquiring living spaces leased by the state say that the payment must be made to the committee, and that prices will be set by the Housing Minister himself as per recommendations made by the committee.
The procedures previously said that the authority to set prices rests with a committee comprised of public representatives and officials from the ministry.
The procedures require that prices be set at the minimum required standard and price range, based on market prices at the time and jurisdiction.
