WAMCO secures Club Maldives Cup title after impressive comeback

Club WAMCO has secured the Club Maldives Cup after a remarkable comeback in the final game.

WAMCO went head-to-head with Road Recreation Club (RCC) in the final match on Friday, held at the Hulhumalé Rehendhi Futsal Ground.

Club WAMCO secured the win with a score of 4 – 1.

Although RCC took the lead with the first score, WAMCO came from behind to score four goals.

RCC took the lead with the team’s first and only score by Abdulla Midhuhath Fahmy.

However, WAMCO tied the score by the end of the first half with a goal from Ibrahim Mahudhee.

WAMCO expanded its lead in the second half with a goal from Ali Shiyah. He then went on to score two more goals, completing a hat-trick.

Abdulla Junaid of WAMCO was crowned the King of Futsal of the tournament.

The winning team’s coach Ahmed Thaha won the best coach title.

The tournament's Dream Team included Junaid, Shiyah, and Abdullah Zimam from WAMCO alongside Abdulla Midhuhath Fahmy and Ali Hafiz

The top scorer of the tournament was Abdulla Midhuhath Fahmy from RCC.

With this year's victory, WAMCO has become the fourth team to successfully defend the Club Maldives Cup trophy.
