A boat has capsized near the surf point in capital Malé City, in a dramatic incident .
A team of Maldives Police Service (MPS) officers and officers of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) were deployed to the scene shortly after the incident occurred on Tuesday evening.
MPS revealed that they responded to a report received regarding a boat capsizing near the surf point.
Capsized was a fishing boat and four people were onboard at the time of the incident.
Onboard at the time of the accident were two Maldivians and two foreigners.
Two of them are to have sustained minor injuries.
Everyone onboard was safely transferred to a police vessel.
Authorities are yet to disclose detailed information about the condition of the individuals involved in the incident.
