A 29-year-old Maldivian man is being located in connection with a case lodged at the Criminal Court.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) in a publication issued on Sunday, revealed that the publication was issued as the authorities’ efforts to locate the suspect and present him before court have been to no avail so far.
The court has ordered MPS to locate the man and take him into police custody.
Being located in connection with the case is Mohamed Ubaadath Hussain, 29 and native to Hithadhoo district of southernmost Addu City.
Ubaadath is wanted in connection with allegations of cannabis trafficking.
He is to be presented before court at 12pm on August 20.
The public has been urged to reach out to the Police Custodial Department through 9991442 if any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect, is attained.
The police institution took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public, for the immense support and assistance received in connection with such cases.
