The case of a young boy being bullied and “forced” to make videos on social media platform ‘TikTok’ in an island in the north of Maldives, has surfaced.
Videos of a little boy singing and talking on TikTok have gone viral.
The boy is seemingly acting under duress by others.
RaajjeMV understands that the child is not getting proper care from his family and is neglected.
A person familiar with the matter has confirmed with RaajjeMV that some of the videos were in fact, forced on the boy and that the boy was being bullied by children his own age.
When contacted for a comment by RaajjeMV, the Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that officers have met with the family on several occasions and that as the case involves a child, they have taken necessary action as mandated under the system.
However, the police institution stressed that they have not seen the desired results so far.
MPS revealed that they would conduct further investigations in connection with the case.
RaajjeMV understands that the boy doesn’t even go to school.
The failure of relevant agencies like the gender ministry or Child and Family Protection Services in acknowledging and addressing the issue of the the boy not attending school, has led to the surfacing of questions by the general public.
