A man has been publicly summoned in connection with an ongoing investigation.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) publicized the summons notice for a man wanted in connection with an ongoing probe, on Tuesday.
MPS revealed that the case is being investigated by the police station in Maamendhoo island of Laamu atoll.
The police institution revealed that the summons notice was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate the suspect and handover his summons notice, have been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track him down.
The summons was issued in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.
Summoned is Mohamed Sharooj Adam, 38 and native to Malé City.
He is summoned for questioning in connection with the case.
The suspect is to present himself to the Adam Haleem Criminal Investigation Building or the police station closest to him at 10am on July 16.
