Former Chairperson of opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Ali Waheed has stated that state ‘stinks’ of decay, in the absence of justice.

In a tweet posted in Dhivehi on Thursday, the former Chairperson made the statement.

His tweet comes at a time when the state had pressed several cases against opposition members. The opposition had claimed that the public had no faith in the judicial justice system.

Ali Waheed is currently in exile along with some other members of the opposition.
