Scary that Govt. allowed Parliament employees to be exposed to terrorism: Hisaan
No legal grounds to bar MPs from entering Parliament premises
Officers had obstructed MPs from their mandate
Terrorism should not be taken lightly or ignored

Lawyer Hisaan Hussain says that while the Government barred access to Parliamentarians, citing terrorism, the Government had allowed their Parliament employees to be exposed to terrorism.

Speaking in RaajjeTV’s ‘Fala Surukhee’ program on Wednesday night, Hisaan said this was deeply concerning.

In the leaked audio tapes from Defense Ministry, Minister Adam Shareef was heard saying that Parliamentarians were barred from entering Parliament premises on July 24th citing possible acts of terror. Referring to this, Hisaan said while this was the case, the Government had allowed civil servants to be in that situation. As such, she noted that this cannot be ignored or taken lightly.

Hisaan said that there were no legal grounds to bar MPs from entering Parliament premises, adding that the officers had obstructed MPs from their mandate.
