Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) has banned the selling of batch number EX 14.5.2018 BB of Jack 'n' Jill's Cloud 9 Overload, after a dead bug was discovered inside a chocolate bar.

In a statement issued on Sunday, MFDA revealed the decision to recall the batch as a safety precaution, after receiving reports of bugs in the chocolate bars.

It added that the authority will be conducting further tests to ensure the safety of the product, including testing other batches of the product as well.

MFDA also called on retailers to seize the selling and distribution of this batch of the Jack 'n' Jill Cloud 9 Overload.
