Kendhoo Cosntituency MP Ali Hussain says that they will use all possible options to vote out Parliament Speaker Abdullah Maseeh Mohamed from his position.
Speaking in the press conference held in Maafannu Kunooz, MP Ali Hussain said that the MPs who had backed the motion were prepared to vote in any manner possible to make this a reality.
‘We’re sure that this will be achieved. The MPs who signed this time, are ready to vote in any manner possible; if they have to vote standing or sign a document. This vote cannot be failed by a roll call,’ Ali Hussain said.
Ali Hussain said the opposition was united their mission and that those MPs who had signed the motion were determined and taking action. This, he said proves that they were resolute in their mandate.
Forty-five MPs signed the no confine motion on Speaker Maseeh, including MPs from ruling Progressive Party of the Maldives. Most of those MPs had resigned from the Party.
The Speaker no confidence motion is slated for 24th July.
