Kulhudhuffushi Magistrate Court has on Sunday extended the remand of the six expatriates arrested over the cruel murder of Ismail Umar.
The Court issued all six an additional 15 days in police custody.
54-year-old Ismail Umar's body was found in the ice plant in Ihavandhoo island of Haa Alifu atoll on June 16.
A mechanic at the plant, he was in charge of its overall maintenance.
Ismail is to have been attacked with a sharp object, officers have reportedly recovered the weapon used to attack him.
While a total of six expatriates were arrested, 27-year-old Suman Mia has reportedly confessed to the murder.
Officers have since found a large sum on money that they believe are linked to the crime.
