The area is equipped with huts, traditionaljoali, wooden benches, barbeque areas and an outdoor shower.

Aishath Sama, a resident of the island, revealed that the island community residents usually travel to nearby islands for picnic or recreational activities as there is no proper beach on the island. She also revealed that the island community now has a space for everyone to enjoy, with the development of the picnic area.

Further, BML revealed that the barbeque area developed in Landhoo island is equipped with wooden benches, traditionaljoali, huts and has a canteen with mini library and a storage area.

The offer is open for individuals, local NGOs, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), women’s development groups, tech community movements and youth empowerment groups. Government and business entities are not eligible for the program. The Fund supports projects in the thematic areas of education, environment, sports and community development.
