Election Commission’s Deputy Director of Political Party and Regulation Khuzaima Taufiq has stated that the commission has brought changes to the design of the voting booths so that the marks on the ballot papers will not be visible.
She made this remark while speaking at the ‘Falasurukhee Program’ of RaajjeTV.
Khuzaima said the booths were set up in the first round at the request of political parties and candidates. As such, she noted that the set up of the polling booths were changed to reduce the chance of people sneaking in their phones and taking pictures of the ballot papers.
Khuzaima said the second round of booths will be set up the same as the first round, but the design of the booths will be changed somewhat.
