The statement by the commission reads that they have found some broadcasters to be airing content that has to do with presidential candidates and asks broadcasters to abide by the Anti-Defamation and Freedom of Speech Act, broadcasting laws as well as the commission's code of conduct.

While polling is to begin at 08:00 a,m, work has begun to deliver ballot boxes to the polling stations across capital city Male'. 

A total of 120 ballot boxes are to be stationed in the Greater Male' Area, suburban Hulhumale, Villimale as well as the capital city.
