Maldives confirmed 30 new cases of the global Covid-19 pandemic on Wednesday.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed via Twitter that the new cases include 29 Maldivians and one Bangladeshi national.
This pushes the total case count to 2,831.
The authority went on to reveal that Kudafari island of Noonu atoll has been placed under monitoring.
Further, with 19 additional recoveries from the infection, Maldives recovery total has risen to 2,321.
There are 482 active cases in the country, currently.
Maldives has seen a total of 14 deaths to the virus thus far, the latest one having been reported on Tuesday.
In addition, a total of 423 individuals remain isolated and 32 are currently in quarantine at the scatter of facilities nationwide.
