Maldives reported 16 new cases of the global coronavirus pandemic along with 22 new recoveries, on Wednesday.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed that the new cases include 11 Maldivians and five Bangladeshi nationals.
This pushes the total case count to 2,517.
Statistics also reveal that as of 6pm Wednesday, Maldives has 319 active cases.
With the 22 additional recoveries, the island nation's recoveries have reached 2,180.
Further, the authority's statistics reveal that there are 107 individuals currently in quarantine whereas 267 have been isolated.
As of Wednesday, there have been 13 deaths related to the pandemic.
