Allied Insurance has introduced an electronic insurance stickers for vehicles

Allied Insurance has signed an agreement with the Maldives Police Service, in order to introduce an electronic insurance stickers for vehicles.

The agreement was signed between Managing Director Ahmed Riyaazee Mohamed and deputy police commissioner Ahmed Saudhee.

While all vehicles in the country are required to be insured, as per road regulations, this sticker would allow customers to prove the validity of their vehicle without showing officers the physical sticker. Instead they can show officers an electronic one through the phone.

Officers of the MPS’ traffic unit routinely check vehicles for their insurance, annual fee payment and road worthiness-check stickers, and the license of the driver.
