Maldives has confirmed a total of 406 recoveries from the infection thus far

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that there are currently 13 Covid-19 patients hospitalized.

The authority’s epidemiologist Dr. Ibrahim Afzal revealed this during Saturday night’s press briefing, adding that the all patients are being treated at the Tree Top Hospital in Hulhumalé which was allocated as the primary National Covid-19 Treatment Center.

Dr. Afzal added that there are no patients currently receiving treatment for Covid-19 at Dharumavantha Hospital.

Two out of the 13 are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), however, none of them have been put on ventilator support.

Maldives has confirmed a total of 406 recoveries from the infection thus far, and there have been five Covid-19 related deaths in the island nation.
