MWSC asks customers to send in images of meters to prepare bills for April
MWSC will be requesting these customers via SMS, to send the photo image of their meters, until the end of April

Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has requested their customers in the Greater Malé Region to send photo images of water meter readings in order to prepare the bills for the month of April.

This comes at a time the region has been locked down due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Only customers who have not received bills prior to the Greater Malé Region lockdown will be requested for a meter photo, said MWSC, who asked customers for their kind support and patience as the company works to limit movements during the current period.

As such, MWSC will be requesting these customers via SMS, to send the photo image of their meters, until the end of April.

This comes as the company has halted all movements due to the situation of the current lockdown.

MWSC has expressed appreciation for the kind cooperation being extended by its customers during these challenging time and has apologized for any inconveniences caused.

Water bills will be sent to households registered for the company’s mobile application through the MWSC app.

Customers using their mobile app can make the payments for their water bills once they receive notifications, as usual, said the company.

Convenience that comes with using the MWSC mobile app:

  • Customers will receive their bill amounts via notification
  • Online payments can be made at the comfort of their homes,
  • Customers may check their average water usage, access live-chat services as well as details of their past bills,
  • Available for free download through Play Store and App Store.

Customers may reach out to the company’s customer care center through the hotline, 105 for further inquiries about their mobile app and online services. MWSC has also urged customers to stay safe by choosing digital services during these trying times.
