Ministry will reveal whether or not school sessions will commence, after the ongoing mid-semester break, before the end of this week.
Due to the outbreak of H1N1, the ministry had ordered that all school sessions be suspended.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Monday counted a third H1N1 fatality.

The Ministry of Education has said on Tuesday that it would reveal whether or not school sessions will commence, after the ongoing mid-semester break, before the end of this week.

Incidentally, due to the outbreak of H1N1, the ministry had ordered that all school sessions be suspended – they have remained so through last week and into the scheduled mid-semester break for pre-school and grades one to 12.

The ministry had previously said that schools would open after the mid-semester break, but delayed it due to the Health Protection Agency’s (HPA) reported increase of patients that have tested positive for the strain.

The HPA on Monday counted a third H1N1 fatality while its daily report on the ongoing influenza outbreak, said that 147 patients out of 411 have tested positive for the strain thus far, and 22 have been hospitalized.
