President Abdullah Yameen has met with Members of Parliament of ruling Progressive Party of the Maldives (PPM) and coalition partner Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) on Monday night.

A Parliamentary Group Member reported that the meeting was held to discuss on the no confidence motion on the Parliament Speaker. He did not reveal additional details.

This is the first meeting held between President Yameen and MPs in as many weeks.
