Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) says that over 800 have been treated from the hospital’s Flu Clinic. The hospital also says that four have been admitted, out of which three are children.
IGMH said that up until 5am Wednesday morning, many had queued up for checking, with even larger crowds earlier in the night. The hospital said that during the day, the clinic will be staffed by five or six doctors.
IGMH further said the clinic will be operational 24 hours a day. In the event a patient needed to be admitted for further treatment, it can be carried out as well.
The hospital staff on leave have been instructed to report back to work, given the influx of patients and to provide adequate service.
IGMH has appealed to all to visit the clinic during the day instead of night.
