Three resorts have been booked for Saudi Arabian King’s March trip to the Maldives.
The three five-star properties have been booked for 13 days, starting from March 18th to 31st. However, Raajjemv understands that the Saudi monarch will spend only six days in the country. In addition to the King, 10 Ministers, 1500 officials, King’s personal carrier, five other planes and two helicopters will be brought in.
During this period, staff of the three resorts will not be allowed to leave the islands.
His visit to the Maldives is part of a five nation tour of the Asia region. The King is set to visit Indonesia, Japan, China and Malaysia, as reported by Saudi Gazette.
Indonesia’s Straits Times reported that the King will visit the nation from 1st – 9th of next month. It is reported that the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman will be part of this trip.
Neither Saudi Government or the Government of Maldives had released any information or statement regarding the monarch’s visit, though the monarch is to spend majority of his time in the Maldives on holiday.
This is the second time the monarch has visited the Maldives. His last visit came in 2014, when he was serving as Defense Minister.
