One senior official in the ‘sorriest-of-states’ is Vice President Abdulla Jihad, said Thimarafushi constituency MP Mohamed Musthafa.
In a tweet, Musthafa criticized Vice President Jihad for his absence in public, and said he was essentially under ‘house arrest’.
Jihad, who previously served as Finance Minister, has not been since beside President Abdulla Yameen or by himself in any recent official events.
Jihad is President Yameen’s third Vice President, and was appointed long after Ahmed Adeeb was tried and convicted.
