Individual injured in an accident in Laamu Gan on Thursday, which killed a 27-year-old male, has been brought to the capital, Male' City, for further treatment.

He was transferred to Male' on Saturday afternoon, informed Laamu Gan Regional Hospital, where he was being treated. He was transferred via helicopter, with the assistance of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF).

According to the Hospital, the man had sustained serious injuries in the accident.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) said that the accident had occurred, with two motorcycles crashing into each other, at around 5:30 pm on Friday, adding that a 27-year-old had died due to the injuries he had sustained.

RaajjeMV understands that the individual who had died in the accident was Mohamed Rishfan.

The Gan Regional Hospital has informed that Rishfan was pronounced dead on arrival.

MPS is investigating the case.
